S-100 Restoration Project -- 1

On November 2, 2002, Dwight Elvey, Eric Klein and Warren Yogi, initiated the DigiBarn's first restoration of S-100 bus kit microcomputers. The systems we are working on include key historical artifacts:

MITS Altair 8800 (original from 1975)
MITS Altair 8800b Turnkey System
IMSAI 8080 (donated by the Exploratorium)
Byt-8 from the Byte Shop (thanks Warren Yogi)

The following pages show some of the activities surrounding this restoration. It is our hope that these systems will be able to talk to a variety of media, including tape and 8 inch floppy disk and permit living history reconstruction.
